What Is Second Home?

The first home most people know is the one they were born into — family, marriage, the life handed to them by circumstance. Second Home is something different: the place each person carries within them as a quiet longing. Not a fantasy, but a possibility. And in Second Home, that possibility has been made real — built, day by day, through the will and the labor of the people who live there.

There are no rules here, no commandments, no codes of conduct. What holds Second Home together is something lighter and more durable: a set of principles and procedures — the Eight Hundred Concepts for a New Era of Humanity and the Second Home Production and Living Procedures — designed not to constrain, but to make life simple, orderly, clear, and pure.

A Life That Has Survived

Second Home was born in China in April 2009. It has been rebuilt more than once. It has faced difficulties that would have ended most communities. And yet, with each iteration, it has grown more vital, not less — because Second Home is not a human invention assembled from scratch. It is something copied from another order of existence, a place that has always been waiting: a haven for people who are honest, hardworking, kind, and true to their word.

Today, Second Home exists in four locations across the earth — two in Canada, one in South Korea, one in Thailand. The numbers are small. The significance is not. These communities are the seeds of Civilization 3.0 — living proof that when the time is right, and the conditions allow, a different way of life can be shown to humanity.

Second Home Is Not a Place

Second Home is not fully defined by any single location. Wherever the conditions are right for this model to unfold, that is where Second Home can be. Its core elements travel with the people who carry them: the Eight Hundred Concepts, the Production and Living Procedures, and the Chanyuan Celestials who have chosen to live by them.
