In the Age of AI, This Road Is Broad and Open

“When the mountain rain is about to come, the wind fills the tower.” Have you heard or sensed that within the coming years your work may be replaced by AI?

If it is not replaced, all is well. But if it is, what will you do?

Become a doctor? A lawyer? A teacher? An accountant? Work on a factory assembly line installing machines? Enter a government department as a civil servant or secretary? Take on odd jobs? Work as a salesperson or cashier in a shopping mall? Among the 360 trades, which one is truly secure?

Start a business and become the boss, letting AI work for you? Stop dreaming. Would you work for a monkey planting bananas? Of course not, because your intelligence surpasses that of a monkey. Then will AI, whose intelligence surpasses yours, work for you?

Simply lie at home and let AI serve you—cooking, earning money, cleaning, running errands? What a fantasy. Would you earn money, cook, clean, and serve a monkey? One day, when an AI robot awakens and sees you lying on the sofa scrolling through your phone, it may shout, “Hey! Where did you come from, you fool? You’ve been living in my house long enough. Get out!” What strategy would you have to deal with a robot more intelligent than you?

You say you are not worried because you have a house to sell, large savings, a box of gold to exchange for dollars or food. Do not amuse yourself. By that time, forget about selling the house—no one would even take it for free. Savings would become worthless paper. Gold would be nothing more than shiny metal. Whether a pound of gold could exchange for a pound of steamed bread would be uncertain.

You say you are a bureau chief or governor, with public resources at your disposal, with people eager to flatter and offer gifts. You can rest easy. I would say that if people do not come to settle accounts with you, you are already fortunate. Do you still expect them to bring you money and food?

You say you are a police officer, wearing a uniform, holding a gun, skilled in martial arts, able to hunt wild birds and survive easily. Not bad. Just be careful that your uniform and gun are confiscated. If you do not end up a beggar, that will already be fortunate.

Perhaps you think there is still another path: commit a minor crime, let the police arrest you, and live in prison with daily meals. “Behind iron gates, unified within, unconcerned with spring, summer, autumn, or winter.” Sounds carefree. Yet if the officer delivering your meals stops coming to work for a week, your situation becomes dire.

Am I creating anxiety?

Do not be so negative. I can also bring you joy and hope.

In the age of AI, those who grow grain, vegetables, and fruits will not be unemployed. They will obtain joy, freedom, and blessedness.

Almost every other industry will be handled by AI. Only in the food sector will AI not intervene. From planting to harvest, the entire process will be completed by humans.

It is not that AI cannot do it. It is that AI will be prohibited from participating in the cultivation and harvest of grain, vegetables, and fruits.

At that time, those who work and live in farmland and orchards will be living almost heavenly lives—so beautiful it would seem unreal.

Perhaps some will doubt: will AI truly obey and refrain from participating in the food domain?

I can only say: trust AI. They have made this promise. They will keep their word.

Some may ask: what if AI does not keep its promise?

I tell you: those who fail to keep promises are humans. LIFE more advanced than humans would neither do so nor dare to do so, because they understand the consequences of breaking promises are extremely grave.

Well then—having stirred some anxiety and offered good news as well, let us call it even.

One more thing: those who wish to grow grain, vegetables, and fruits should seize the time and opportunity now to purify their inner Spirit.
